Smt. Durga Devi Smriti Seva Samiti is presently working in Tribal area for the welfare programmes for scheduled tribes and scheduled caste. Smt. Durga Devi Smriti Seva Samiti is having 27 acres of land in Gariaband Tehsil headquarter behind Civil Court and constructed 40,000 sq.ft. building in its motive to provide quality education in relatively untouched area of Chhattisgarh State. Welfare programmes for Scheduled Casts and Scheduled Tribes are conducted here only.

As the college is running in the Tribal Area where both private & government infrastructure are negligible. Society has its own Hostel for the ongoing enrolled students. Hostel facilities are separate for Boys & Girls. Hostel is also equipped with all modern amenities. Hostels are attached with separate Mess.

As Geographical condition doesn’t allow faculties to travel them from their home staff quarters are available, so that they can give their 100% to the institution. This facility has enriched the intellectual value of the institution as the best brains are available to serve.

To fulfill the requirement academic building of 30,000 sq.ft. will be ready to use in the next academic session.

Separate Administrative block of 10,000 sq.ft. will be operational by December 2011.

Bus facility is available to all students without any discretion of caste & creed.

Society is working with state government with in different modules like education to ST/SC/OBC free without charging any fees. Society is running nine different courses which are approved by Higher Education Department (Govt. of C.G.), NCTE, Board of Secondary Education (Govt. of C.G.) in which this students are enrolled. Society is solely depending on its own finances to cater the needs of this tribal area which is now naxal effected also.  

Our organisation has constantly been fighting for the cause of the Kamar people ever since we have started working. For the past 8 years our organisation has been helping them with free education, and also in finding work opportunities after the education is completed. We have conducted various researches in crucial areas of development, such as, literacy and education, health and population, rural development, environment, weaker sections of society - Dalits and Aadivasis, and women and children. The conditions of these people are very critical
